Terms and Conditions of Participation
1. Organizer
The organizer of Bern Knits (hereinafter referred to as “the Event”) is:

2. Registration and Admission
Registration must be submitted in writing using the official registration form.
Receipt of a registration does not automatically entitle the applicant to participate.
Admission is confirmed in writing by the organizer.
The organizer reserves the right to select exhibitors based on quality, diversity of the offer, and available space.
There is no entitlement to a specific stand size or location.
3. Stand Fees and Payment Terms
Stand fees are based on the current price list (in CHF).
After written confirmation of admission, the exhibitor will receive an invoice.
Invoices are payable within 14 days without deduction.
If payment is not made within the specified period, the organizer reserves the right to withdraw from the agreement and reassign the stand space.
Any bank charges are the responsibility of the exhibitor.
4. Withdrawal / Cancellation
Any withdrawal must be made in writing.
The following cancellation fees apply:
up to 6 months before the start of the event: 25% of the stand fee
up to 3 months before the start of the event: 50% of the stand fee
less than 3 months before the start of the event: 100% of the stand fee
If the stand space can be reassigned to another exhibitor, the organizer may reduce the cancellation fee at their discretion.
5. Setup, Event Operation, and Dismantling
Setup and dismantling times will be communicated in due time.
The stand must be staffed during the official opening hours.
Early dismantling is not permitted.
The stand space must be left clean and in proper condition..
6. Products and Sales Regulations
Only the products declared in the registration and approved by the organizer may be offered.
The sale of goods that are prohibited by law or infringe copyright is strictly prohibited.
Prices must be clearly displayed in accordance with applicable regulations.
The exhibitor is responsible for the correct handling and declaration of value added tax (VAT), if applicable.
7. Safety and Liability
The exhibitor is liable for any damage caused by themselves, their employees, or contracted third parties.
The organizer accepts no liability for theft, loss, or damage to goods or stand equipment.
Taking out public liability insurance is strongly recommended.
All electrical installations must comply with Swiss safety regulations.
8. Force Majeure
If the event cannot take place due to force majeure (e.g., natural events, official orders, security risks), no claims for damages may be made. Stand fees already paid will be refunded proportionally where possible.
9. Data Protection (revised Swiss Data Protection Act – revDSG)
Personal data will be used exclusively for the organization and execution of the event.
Data processing is carried out in accordance with the revised Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (revDSG).
By registering, the exhibitor agrees that the company name and offered products may be published for promotional purposes.
10. House Rules
During the entire event, the organizer exercises house authority. Instructions issued by the organizer must be followed.
11. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction
Swiss law shall apply exclusively.
The place of jurisdiction is the registered office of the organizer.
